More than a hundred «Points of Growth» opened in Crimea

New technologies help students to acquire knowledge, and teachers — methods. The Minister of Education, Science and Youth of the Republic of Crimea Valentina Lavrik announced this live, which was organized by the Center for Regional Management of the Republic of Crimea.

According to the national project «Education» in the Crimea, 109 educational centers «Point of Growth» were opened. Another 132 will appear in the next two years— said Valentina Lavrik. — This year we will open in Simferopol, on the basis of a gymnasium for gifted children, an educational center «Talent and Success». It will be equipped with the most modern equipment that will motivate children and teachers to scientific knowledge.

As part of the support for teachers, the Zemsky Teacher program was operating in the Republic for three years.

It was attended by 90 teachers who arrived in Crimea to fill vacancies in the villages. This is a good support program for educators. It will resume in 2024the minister noted.

In the Year of the Teacher and Mentor, the Crimean authorities are also developing regional support measures.

Young specialists receive an additional payment of 5,700 rubles a month from the republican budget and an allowance of 3,300 rubles, in Yalta and Simferopol it is higher and amounts to 5,000 rubles. Support is also provided to class teachers and mentors who help integrate young teachers into the work process.— said Valentina Lavrik.

Today there are more than 17 thousand teachers in Crimea. Of these, 1,400 are young teachers and 732 mentors.
