Most Crimean children will be able to relax in summer camps for free

In the summer of 2026, about 80% of Crimean children will be able to relax and improve their health at the expense of the republic’s budget. About this on air radio «Sputnik in Crimea» said the head of the department for organizing educational work, recreation and health improvement for children of the Ministry of Education of Crimea, Alexandra Shelukhina. She noted that in the region, sanatoriums and country health camps operate for the recreation and health of children, day camps, work and recreation camps are opened on the basis of schools, and daytime thematic sites are organized. At their base, specialized shifts in various areas, thematic and patriotic events, as well as excursions are held.

In general, in the Republic of Crimea a large amount of funds is allocated to improve the health of these categories. And, probably, in no other region of Russia is there such a large number of preferential categories — 21. Therefore, the likelihood of getting a ticket is quite high. There are categories that we necessarily provide with rest and wellness. These are orphans, children in difficult life situations, and talented, gifted children are also sent to specialized shiftsshe noted.

According to the specialist, inclusive recreation and health improvement have been organized in Crimea, and specialized camps are working to expand the availability of institutions for children with various nosologies.

Last year, a quota of 3% was established for state and municipal recreation and recreation organizations for children with disabilities and for children with disabilities. In the current year 2026, we have expanded this quota, now it is 5%, due to which we plan to improve the health of more than 3,300 children in this category this year, — she emphasized.

Particular attention is paid to the health of minors who are on various types of registration, added Shelukhina.

These are the kind of kids who find themselves in difficult situations, and the opportunity to go to a children’s health camp for a specialized shift filled with important, necessary tasks and educational activities allows them to adapt, pay more attention to communication with peers, and positive experiences. This year we plan to hold four specialized shifts for 500 children enrolled in various types of registrationshe noted.

To obtain a voucher, parents need to contact the municipality at their place of residence, the educational authorities that are responsible for recreation and recreation.

There are specialists there who accept documents. Their list can be found on the Ministry’s website or in the municipality. For each preferential category, a certain package of documents is provided. The queue to receive a vacation and recreation voucher begins to form literally in January, so you can already apply and submit documents to be placed on the queue“, the specialist concluded.
