Notaries of the city of Sevastopol annually provide charitable assistance to orphans without parental care. For the birthday of the orphanage (GKU “Center for Assistance to Children Without Parental Care “Our House”), which traditionally takes place in late November-early December and is accompanied by a performance performed by the pupils and teachers of the orphanage, notaries of the city of Sevastopol have prepared gifts.
On December 12, 2025, the vice-president of the Chamber, Maxim Yurchenko, took part in the festive event, who congratulated the children and the staff of the orphanage on their 37th anniversary and presented gifts (pottery certificates to 25 pupils studying at the school, educational toys to two children, and equipment for the household needs of the institution).
On this day, the premiere of the theater studio of the orphanage “Event” and the performance of the play “Zurbagan” took place. From the first minutes, viewers found themselves in the small port town of Zurbagan, where there is no happiness and the main value is money. It was in such a dull place that the girl Assol was destined to be born and grow up, who rejoiced every day and never stopped dreaming that one day a beautiful frigate with scarlet sails would appear on the roadstead, and the captain-prince would fall in love with her and take her to a distant country. The main human vices, the trials that befall a person, the power of dreams and faith in miracles, selfless love and the ability of a person to create a fairy tale themselves are the main meanings of the story, brought to life on stage by young actors.
The birth of a new performance, which ended in success on stage, gave the children faith in themselves and their strengths, contributed to positive changes in finding themselves and revealing their inner potential. The audience highly appreciated the performance: the actors, the director and everyone who participated in the preparation of the performance received loud applause and many compliments— noted in the Notary Chamber of Sevastopol.
