October 6 and 7 — the first autumn super moon. A beautiful sight that can be seen with your own eyes
Krympress reports:
The next full moon, which can be observed by the next two nights in a row (from October 6 to 7 to October 7 to 8), as expected, will become one of the most beautiful in the current year, — Scientists informed.
The moon in the full phase will be located on the part of its orbit closest to the ground and, accordingly, will have the size close to the maximum size in the sky. Although we are talking about relatively small changes (the visible size of the largest of the moons exceeds the smallest size by only 13%), the difference in brightness can reach 25% or even more, which is usually more than noticeable, the laboratory explained.
The exact moment of the full moon falls on October 7 at 06:47 Moscow time. This means that at least for the central part of the country the night from 6 to 7 and from October 7 to 8 will be approximately equally favorable for observation from the point of view of the illumination of the moon — if the weather intervenes in one of the nights, there will be a second chance to see one of the most beautiful lines of the year, experts said.
This time the moon will be in ideal conditions for observing the eye and photographing and can be visible all night at high altitude. Finding the moon on the full moon is extremely simple. It is enough to remember in which part of the sky the sun went and look at the opposite horizon. The moon will rise there almost immediately as the sun leaves— the scientists explained.
The super moon season usually lasts 3-4 full moon in a row. The moon will reach even greater brightness on November 5 and December 4, although it is about the difference of only 2-3%, and the last formal super moon will take place on January 3, the laboratory said.
