Officials of the Saki city administration were charged with accepting bribes

The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has opened a criminal case against the head of one of the departments of the administration of the city of Saki and her deputy. The investigation charges them with several episodes of receiving bribes in a significant amount by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (clause “a”, part 5, article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The Investigation Department for the Central District of Simferopol established that from June 2021 to June 2025, officials offered entrepreneurs, for a fee, to speed up inspections, as well as a lenient attitude towards the business plan. For their help, the businessmen transferred a total of 370 thousand rubles to officials through an intermediary.

The criminal scheme was revealed in cooperation with employees of the republican departments of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The defendants admitted their guilt in committing the crimes. Currently, work continues to collect and consolidate the evidence base.

Previously, the investigation gave a legal assessment of the actions of the briber and intermediary. Criminal cases against them have been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
