Over four years, more than 71 billion rubles will be allocated for the development of Artek

More than 70 billion rubles will be allocated for the development of the Artek international children’s center in the next four years. The funds will be allocated as part of the development program for 2026-2030. RIA Novosti reports this.

On instructions from the President of the country, the government developed development program of the International Children’s Center «Artek» for 2026–2030.

The total need for financing the implementation of development program activities for 2026-2030 is 71,760.2 million rubles,” RIA Novosti cites data, citing official documents.

The implementation of the program will strengthen the position of Artek as a leading children’s center in the field of education and upbringing, preserving the best traditions and introducing innovative approaches in working with children and youth.

One of the visiting cards of Crimea is the International Children’s Center «Artek», located in the seaside village of Gurzuf, is one of the world’s largest recreational complexes for children and is the most famous in Russia. Founded in June 1925. In total, over the 100-year history of Artek, almost two million children from more than 100 countries have visited here. It is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

Since the fall of 2014, a global reconstruction of the children’s center has taken place. Now all nine children’s camps have been updated: “Kiparisny”, “Lazurny”, “Lesnoy”, “Morskoy”, “Ozerny”, “Polevoy”, “Rechnoy”, “Khrustalny” and “Yantarny”. And in 2026, the Solnechny children’s camp with a capacity of 1,000 places will be commissioned, which will become a place for the use of new educational technologies and a prototype of a new school.
