Over the past weekend — from Sunday to Tuesday — 4 traffic accidents were registered on the roads of Sevastopol, in which 5 people received various injuries: 1 driver, 1 pedestrian and 3 passengers.
Traffic inspectors revealed more than 180 administrative offenses, including 17 drivers driving while intoxicated, three of which were repeated, for that criminal liability is envisaged, four refused to undergo a medical examination and administrative materials were drawn up against them under article 12.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation with punishment in the form of a fine in the amount of 30 thousand rubles and deprivation of the right to drive for a period of one and a half to two years , the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol reported.
In addition, 26 drivers of cars with windshields and front side windows tinted in excess of the norm were identified, 15 — violated the rules for driving pedestrian crossings, 3 drivers traveled in vehicles whose registration was terminated due to the death of the owner. Also, traffic inspectors prevented a violation of traffic rules by six pedestrians who crossed the carriageway in the wrong place.
The State traffic inspectorate of Sevastopol calls on all road users to strictly comply with traffic rules, attentiveness and caution, especially in adverse weather conditions that limit visibility: rain, snow or fog.
The traffic police also asks parents to remind their children daily of the importance of following the rules for crossing the road and using retroreflective elements at night in order to avoid an accident in the traffic environment.
