Participants of the student movement of Sevastopol visited the international medical forum “Work is Cool”

The International Medical Career Forum “Work is Cool” was held in Samara. The large-scale event brought together more than 200 schoolchildren, students and young professionals not only from Russia, but also from Kazakhstan, Belarus and the Kyrgyz Republic. Among the forum participants is a delegation from Sevastopol: students of Sevastopol State University and Medical College named after. Zhenya Deryugina — Karina Korotkaya, Shakhzoda Alimova, Valeria Andriesh and Anastasia Serdyuchenko.

As part of the forum, educational platforms, lectures, master classes and trainings aimed at developing professional competencies were organized for participants. Of particular interest to doctors was an excursion to the Samara State Medical University and a meeting with young healthcare professionals, where students were able to learn about the real practice of working in medical institutions.

The key event of the forum was a round table with the participation of a member of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, Chairman of the Board of Russian Student Groups Yulia Drozhzhina. Together with representatives of medical institutions from different regions of Russia, the participants discussed the prospects for the development of student medical teams and mechanisms for supporting young personnel in the industry.

This was my first time on a forum of this level. It was an incredible experience: we met guys from other cities and countries, saw how work works in large medical centers. The meeting with Yulia Drozhzhina was especially memorable — we were able to ask questions about the development of the detachment movement and learned what opportunities open up for students who choose medicine, — Shakhzoda Alimova, a student at Sevastopol State University and a member of the Synapse medical squad, shares her impressions.

Participation in the forum became an important stage in the formation of human resources in the region’s healthcare sector. Student teams of Sevastopol continue to actively work to attract young people into the profession, and such events allow students to see the prospects for their development and take a confident step in their career.
