Passenger transportation by Tavria trains in the direction of Crimea increased by 9.6% during the holidays

Passenger transportation by Tavria trains in the direction of the Crimean peninsula and back during the New Year holidays increased year-on-year by 9.6%, to 299.7 thousand people, the official reported. Telegram channel «Grand Service Express» (GSE).

The most passengers were transported by trains No. 91/92 Moscow — Sevastopol and No. 7/8 St. Petersburg — Sevastopol— the GSE clarified.

The most popular direction was Moscow — Simferopol — Moscow. As the company notes, Tavria passengers made 22 thousand orders in dining cars during the New Year holidays.

In total, the Crimean peninsula and the mainland of Russia were connected by rail during the holidays by 12 trains: 5 daily from Moscow, including the branded Tavria Express train, 3 daily trains from St. Petersburg and 4 trains from other regions — from Omsk, Perm, Adler and Kislovodskthe message said.

As noted in the GSE, during the New Year holidays, two additional daily trains to Crimea were scheduled — from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Simferopol. In two weeks they transported 31 thousand passengers.
