Irina Kiviko, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea, spoke about the fact that plans for 2023 were discussed at a meeting of the Export Council of the Republic of Crimea.
I would like to note that at the end of the year, the Republic of Crimea exceeded the indicator “Volume of exports of goods and services” by 25%, which indicates the correctness of the policy pursued by the Government of the Republic in terms of export development. To date, a further vector for building new trade and economic relations with a number of countries has been determined, and work continues to strengthen ties with friendly states. One of the main tasks for business now is the need to find alternative trade routes and markets, which will allow not to slow down. In the international block, it is planned to focus on the CIS countries, especially the Republic of Belarus, as well as on the countries of Africa and the Middle East— Irina Kiviko notes.
The Council meeting was attended by Georgy Muradov, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea to the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Sheryako, Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea, Ksenia Slutskaya, Director of the Southern Regional Export Support Center, representatives of business and specialized export organizations.
A number of issues were discussed, including on the issue of grain exports and the need to consolidate the efforts of relevant departments in the framework of assistance to farmers.
Reports of subordinate organizations and the unification of plans of the Crimean Fund for Entrepreneurship Support and the Southern Regional Export Support Center were also heard.
So, in 2023, events are planned with the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and a number of other African countries.
At the meeting, the results of the activities of the Southern Regional Export Support Center were summed up. In particular, the acceleration program «Export Fast and the Furious» was carried out. The program was implemented within the framework of the national projects «Small and Medium Enterprises and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives» and «International Cooperation and Export».
Recall that the main tasks of the Export Council are to develop proposals and take into account the interests of the business community, as well as create favorable conditions for the implementation of measures to develop the export activities of the Republic, as well as cooperation with regions of foreign states, and solving problems that arise in the activities of exporters.
