Possible: military personnel are offered the right to early dismissal to care for a disabled child

It is proposed to give military personnel the right to early dismissal from service if they need to care for a disabled child. Such a draft legislative initiative was submitted to the State Duma by the People’s Council of the Lugansk People’s Republic on February 3.

The explanatory note to the draft notes that the current legislation does not have such a rule and this creates an obstacle to military personnel exercising their parental rights and fulfilling parental responsibilities to the fullest extent.

The bill proposes to supplement the Federal Law “On Military Duty and Military Service” with a paragraph, according to which a soldier performing military service under a contract will have the right to early dismissal from military service for family reasons due to the need to care for a disabled child.

Earlier, Parlamentskaya Gazeta wrote that since the beginning of the special operation, 154 laws have been adopted aimed at supporting fighters and their loved ones. In particular, they had the opportunity to get another profession for free, launch an extrajudicial bankruptcy procedure, enter into a social contract on preferential terms, etc.
