Preferential mortgage can be expanded for families with children under 18 years of age

All families with children under the age of 18 need to give the opportunity to issue a housing loan on preferential conditions, according to the Russian guild of realtors. The organization sent a proposal to the government to expand the family mortgage.

Now families with a child are not older than 7 years old can apply for a family mortgage. In such conditions, many families raising schoolchildren and adolescents are deprived of benefits, the RGR noted. During these years, families often need additional housing, as the child needs a separate room to make lessons. The professional association proposed to establish an initial contribution of 10%, to give families the opportunity to use maternity capital and regional payments.

The RGR also believes that families with children with disabilities should have the opportunity to participate in a preferential program, regardless of the age of the child, since the need for adapted housing in such families is preserved after 18 years.

In addition, the organizations propose to increase the maximum amount of a family mortgage loan. Now in Moscow, the Moscow Region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, it is 12 million rubles, in other regions-6 million rubles.
