Price monitoring in Sevastopol: eggs, milk and beets have not risen in price
Specialists from the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market summed up the results of weekly monitoring of prices on the city’s food market. According to the head of the consumer market department of the department, Ksenia Kazandzhieva, over the past seven days a decrease in the cost of chicken eggs, drinking pasteurized whole milk and beets has been recorded.
A slight increase in prices was noted for pork (except for boneless meat), chilled and frozen chicken, as well as fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. The increase in the cost of meat products is due to fluctuations in supply volumes on the wholesale market, and for vegetables due to seasonal changes in the harvest.
Experts noted that no increase in prices for fresh vegetables, fruits and “borscht set” has been recorded.
The main instrument for stabilizing the cost of socially significant goods remains the agreement between the Government of Sevastopol and the largest regional retail chains.
The document, officially extended until 2026, calls on participants to set a “zero” or minimum trade margin in the range of 0–15% of the manufacturer’s selling price.
To date, 10 retail chains have joined the agreement, uniting 123 stores throughout the city: “Uyutstroy”, “Yabloko”, “Fresh”, “Leader”, “PUD”, “Wild Honey”, “4M”, “7M Without Prices”, “BOOM” and others.
In each participating store, in the “Buyer’s Corner” area, there is a complete list of essential goods, designed in the same style. This allows residents to quickly navigate current offers and plan purchases.
To guarantee the fulfillment of their obligations, the department’s specialists monitor prices, compare the cost of goods with the approved list and control the correct application of preferential markups. The work is carried out in a constant mode, which allows you to quickly respond to any deviations from the established parameters.
