Quadcopter crews are being trained at the training ground of the Black Sea Fleet

CrimeaPRESS reports:

At one of the training grounds of the Black Sea Fleet in the Republic of Crimea, the preparation of crews of unmanned aerial vehicles from among the mobilized citizens was organized. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.

Classes are conducted by instructors from a volunteer organization specializing in the use of drones. Reservists learn to fly quadcopter drones. In the course of practical exercises, the calculations perform the launch of vehicles, flights along specified routes, landing at a designated place.

The purpose of the training course is to develop the skills necessary for conducting aerial reconnaissance, geospatial orientation, and recognition of various objects, including camouflaged ones. In addition, the crews are trained to drop a payload simulating an explosive device from a special device attached to the drone, the report says.

In order to increase the effectiveness of the training sessions, drones fly and drop explosive device simulators in various areas of the training ground, including where training sessions are held with groups of reservists. This is done so that they learn to respond to a “threat” from the air and follow the algorithm of actions established in such a situation.

On the territory of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, citizens who have previously completed military service in the Armed Forces and have certain military specialties are subject to partial mobilization. Priority is given to citizens with combat experience , — specified in the press service of the Southern Military District.
