Quarantine introduced in the suburbs of Sevastopol — a marten attacked a person

A marten infected with rabies crawled into a house and bit a man in a mountain village near Sevastopol, and a quarantine was introduced in the entire municipality, the regional government reported.
The State Veterinary Service received an appeal from a private person living in the area of the village of Rodnoy, who was bitten at night by a wild marten that climbed into the house through an open window. In the morning, a dead animal was found in the yard and taken to a veterinary laboratory, where the rabies virus was confirmedthe message says.
It is specified that the victim is undergoing treatment. And in the Ternovsky municipal district, a rabies quarantine has been introduced; the state veterinary service is carrying out all the necessary measures: clinical examination and preventive vaccination of dogs and cats, as well as susceptible farm animals, and others.
