The center is being created on the basis of the Crimean boarding school for gifted children.
The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, chaired the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Regional Center for Identifying and Supporting Gifted Children in Crimea as chairman. He expressed hope that the talented Crimean youth would be able to contribute to the development and prosperity of the Russian Federation.
I am sure that the Crimean youth has great potential, and our task in the broadest sense is to find all the talented children of the republic and give them the opportunity to develop. It is necessary to create such conditions so that children can show themselves and their skills, because each child is talented in his own way. This will be our contribution to the future of the guys and our Motherland , — said the Head of the Crimea.
Sergey Aksyonov added that in order to successfully implement the instructions given by President Vladimir Putin to support talented children in Russia in various fields, including sports, art, science and technology, it is necessary to work out a system for searching and selecting gifted youth.
The regional center for identifying and supporting gifted children in the Republic of Crimea will operate on the basis of the SBEI RK «Crimean boarding school for gifted children» starting from September 1 2023 of the year. The key areas of work will be science, art and sports, and the leading universities of the Republic will act as strategic partners of the center.
The Board of Trustees also approved the composition of the expert council and agreed on the candidacy of the deputy director of the Crimean boarding school for gifted children for scientific and methodological work, Elena Svyatokho, for the position of head of the regional center.
