Repair work on the Alushta embankment is behind schedule
In Alushta, the overhaul of bank protection structures of the embankment in the area of the Karasan and Utes sanatoriums continues. However, due to weather, contractors are behind schedule. The mayor of the city, Galina Ogneva, announced this during an offsite meeting at the site.
Due to weather conditions, contractors are a little behind schedule, but I want to emphasize: the work is being carried out to a very high quality, using the most modern technologies — this is the creation of a reliable and durable infrastructure that will serve for decadessaid the mayor.
She asked residents and guests of the city to treat temporary inconveniences with understanding.
According to Galina Ognevaya, the repair of the stepped berm in the area of the Utes sanatorium and the concreting of the base of the wave wall from the Karasan sanatorium to the Utes have now been completed. Work on concreting the parapet of the wave wall of the stepped berm is also being completed, and the repair of the groynes is 85% complete.
In addition, work is actively underway on all beach maps: reinforcement and application of shotcrete to the wave wall. At the same time, the coverings are being dismantled and crushed stone is being brought in for concreting the surface of the embankment.
Previously in Alushta as part of reconstruction dismantled the historical rotunda on the city embankment, since its columns were in disrepair. A complete copy of it will be installed in its place. The mayor assured that similar columns will be made from the same material, the same size, and they will be installed in the same place.
