Scientific and Clinical Center «Health and Rehabilitation Technologies» presented at KFU

A presentation of the scientific and clinical center «Technologies of Health and Rehabilitation» was held at the Crimean Federal University. The grand opening of the center is timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Science. The center was created within the framework of the state program «Priority 413». It aims to rehabilitate, restore and maintain health through effective methods and scientific research.

Today we represent a rehabilitation center at the Federal University. This is one of the areas of scientific activity of the republic, which has always been present in our country and has been important, since the sanatorium and resort complex, especially on the western coast (the cities of Saki and Yevpatoria), are designed precisely for those areas of medical activity that we have seen today. Of course, the musculoskeletal system from the birth of a child to old age is very important, it is the basis of our life. Such a rehabilitation center, of course, will contribute not only to the development of science in this direction, but also to practical medicine, which is important for Crimea today , — the press service of the university quotes the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea Elena Romanovskaya.

As the rector of the Crimean Federal University Andrei Falaleev notes, one of the tasks of the center will be to train personnel for the sanatorium and resort industry of Crimea.

Now, together with the Republic of Crimea, the Ministry of Health, we are compiling a large training program, because we understand that the sanatorium and resort industry and rehabilitation is one of the main industries in Crimea. We understand the need for staff. Usually, specialists in the sanatorium and resort industry are divided into two areas: rehabilitation doctors and graduates of the “Physical Education” direction, who usually go to mid-level specialists providing physiotherapy, reflexology. Now we are starting training and offer those who are studying in the specialty «Physical Rehabilitation» the opportunity to receive both a secondary medical education and skills in rehabilitation, so that they go into the profession already prepared , — Andrey Falaleev notes.

In addition, the center will allow the creation of electronic health passports for patients.

Due to hardware diagnostics, we can produce a truly accurate record of a person’s health and accumulate this data over a long period of life. And then we will be able to predict how his state of health will change , — says Andrei Falaleev.

The pilot stage in the development of the center was the creation of the department of rehabilitation treatment «Center for Doctor Bubnovsky». On the basis of the department, the center offers health restoration services based on kinesitherapy, which can be received by anyone with indications for rehabilitation, acute pain syndromes, and for the purpose of maintaining health. The center also offers a comprehensive examination for diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system.

At the moment, the specialists of the center are conducting scientific and research work on recovery after sports, domestic and combat injuries of various etiologies and severity, compression fractures of the spine, endoprosthesis replacement of large joints and other types of surgical intervention, as well as for the prevention and correction of scoliosis, flat feet, prolapse of internal organs, posture disorders.
