Sergei Aksyonov: “Only on the battlefield can a system of relationships be built that will guarantee the security of Russia”

The current negotiation process is just an information plug. We all see perfectly well the actions that both the United States and the European Union are taking together with Ukraine. Essentially, this is just stalling for time. Of course, we are waiting for the results, but we don’t really count on them. Ukrainian negotiators do not need peace, because most of them will immediately end their political careers and will lose the opportunity to profit from the funds provided by their allies. Only on the battlefield can a system of relationships be built that will guarantee the security of our state. Therefore, we need to rely only on ourselves: continue to increase the combat capability and effectiveness of the Armed Forces, follow the decisions made by the President. Ultimately this is what will bear fruit.– says the Head of Crimea.

Sergei Aksyonov added that international recognition of Crimea as part of Russia could become a new window of opportunity for Crimeans, but there is no urgent need for this.

The question here is: at what price will this recognition be given? If the West accepts the legal and fair decision of the Crimeans, taken back in 2014, as a fact, as a given, that’s one thing. And if the European Union continues to set ultimatums and conditions, put forward ridiculous demands — to hell with them, there is no need to be distracted by them at all. We are moving forward in our own way. We have already proven that we can successfully live and work under conditions of sanctions and pressure, not paying attention to the moans and cries of the enemy. We will not deviate, we will not retreat from our general line adopted 12 years agonoted the Head of the Republic.

Another topic of discussion was support for front-line regions. According to Sergei Aksenov, the authorities of the republic are constantly in touch with the leadership of the fraternal regions in order to provide assistance if necessary.

Thus, as a result of a telephone conversation with the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, a decision was made to accept more than 1.5 thousand children from the region in Crimea at the expense of the republican budget; accommodation facilities are already ready. Also, in a recent conversation with the governor of the Kursk region, Alexander Khinshtein, the recreation and health improvement of young Kursk residents in the Crimea in the summer was discussed.

According to Sergei Aksenov, such support is one of the examples of the unity of Russian regions and, of course, peoples.

It is very important that 2026 has been declared the Year of the Unity of Nations in Russia. This is another opportunity to talk about the events of our rich history, learn from them and become even more united and friendly. For any country, any society, interethnic conflict is the most terrible. Crimea knows this firsthand. For many years they tried to divide Crimeans along ethnic lines. The arsonists believed that this would keep us in the Ukrainian political field, but in reality it played a counterbalance; people were tired of such a policy. Today we truly have interethnic and interfaith peace and harmony. These are our value guidelines, which are followed by the authorities, public organizations, representatives of traditional faiths, and all residents, – said the Head of Crimea.

In addition, Sergei Aksyonov focused on the topic of preparations for the celebration of the 150th anniversary of St. Luke (Voino-Yasenetsky), which will be celebrated in 2027. One of the main initiatives dedicated to the anniversary is the creation of a museum and temple complex in the city of Simferopol.

The implementation of the project was supported by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’. Today there is already an organizing committee, the finished concept will be presented to Simferopol residents. All information will be posted in a public field. I am confident that under the leadership of the Head of the Crimean Metropolis, His Eminence Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea, under the patronage of His Holiness the Patriarch and with the support of the President, this task will be successfully completed. We will have another point of attraction for pilgrims and tourists from all over the world, a platform for the spiritual upbringing and education of our youth— the Head of the Republic expressed hope.

The program also discussed issues related to ensuring security in the republic, supporting military personnel and humanitarian aid, the prematureness of the transition to exclusively non-cash payments in public transport, working with personnel, primarily management, the upcoming tourist flow and the functioning of the Crimean Bridge in the high season, and training schoolchildren in unmanned aviation skills.
