The head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov held a meeting of the Council of Crimean Tatars under the Head of the Republic of Crimea as its chairman, during which the results of the activities of the Council for five years were summed up and plans for 2023 were outlined.
Sergei Aksyonov noted that interethnic harmony and high results in the socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea were achieved largely thanks to the support of President Vladimir Putin and the Council.
Over the past years, colossal work has been done, which is aimed at helping all residents of the republic. Since the moment of reunification with Russia, Crimeans of all nationalities have been taking an active part in the social and political life of our republic. Respect for the traditions and customs of the peoples living in Crimea is the key to success, and without trust in each other there will be no development and rapid progressAksenov said.
He added that members of the Council of Crimean Tatars take an active part in working with citizens, participate in the collection of humanitarian aid for participants in a special military operation.
In addition, the Head of the Republic handed over a letter of thanks to the Mufti of the Muslims of Crimea, Hadji Emirali Ablaev, from the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin.
In turn, the Mufti thanked the members of the Council for their work and expressed gratitude to the Government of the Russian Federation and the authorities of the Republic of Crimea for supporting the Crimean Tatars.
Rector of the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov, Deputy Chairman of the Council Chingiz Yakubov spoke about the work to provide assistance to the families of military personnel, as well as to perpetuate the memory of fighters who distinguished themselves during a special military operation. In addition, Chingiz Yakubov stressed that today Crimea is a territory of interethnic accord, where all nationalities, without exception, are equal.
The meeting participants discussed the results of the activities of the Council of Crimean Tatars under the Head of the Republic of Crimea for 5 years and outlined plans for 2023. The progress of the construction of the Cathedral Mosque in the city of Simferopol and the possibility of attracting professional Crimean Tatar groups to national events at the federal level were also discussed.
