Sergey Aksyonov: “The foundation of the new world order has already been laid in Yalta”

The main basis for the success of the Yalta Conference was the victories of our army. This was the case then, and this is the case today, when the success of the “negotiation track” on Ukraine directly depends on the situation on the fronts of the Northern Military District. There is one more principle for all times. It was the basis of the historical agreements at Yalta, and only it can become the foundation of a new world order. This principle was briefly and succinctly formulated by our president: “Peace does not come on its own, it is built, and every day. Peace requires effort, responsibility and conscious choice,” – Aksenov wrote in his Telegram channel.

He recalled that the foundations of the new world order, thanks to which Europe lived without war for several decades, were determined precisely on Crimean soil in 1945, and the most important result of the meeting of the leaders of the allied powers was the creation of the UN.

Moreover, it was Stalin who ensured that two union republics, Ukraine and Belarus, became members of the organization. And that it was in Yalta that the western borders of the Ukrainian SSR were determined, which in 1991 turned into the borders of an independent Ukrainian statethe head of Crimea recalled.
