Sergey Aksyonov: “The Russian Federation Council is doing a lot for the development of the Republic of Crimea”

Here in Crimea, we always feel the care and support of the Federation Council. I would like to emphasize that we were never refused help and were always assisted in resolving problematic issues. I would like to personally thank the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Ivanovna Matvienko. On her initiative and with direct participation, various projects are being implemented in the republic, including the construction of the Federal Children’s Rehabilitation Center in Yevpatoria, the completion of which citizens are eagerly awaiting. I am confident that with common efforts we can do much more for the benefit of Crimea and all of Russiasaid the Head of the Republic.

Sergei Aksyonov also focused on the smooth interaction between senators from the Republic of Crimea, Hero of Russia Yuri Nimchenko and Sergei Karyakin and their colleagues from historical regions. According to the Head of the Republic, such close and fruitful cooperation will allow us to overcome all difficulties.

Separately, Sergei Aksyonov noted the importance of the visit of the Federation Council delegation to Crimea in a broad composition, including within the framework of the planned meeting on the topic of integration of historical regions. The head of the republic expressed confidence that the Crimean experience of working in the legal and socio-economic space of Russia since 2014 will help find solutions to all emerging problematic issues in the development of the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

In turn, Andrei Yatskin emphasized that over the past years Crimea has come a long way.

Together with the senators, I visited a number of completed projects and got acquainted with plans and tasks for the future. The results achieved over 12 years are truly impressive. Therefore, of course, this allows us to replicate the experience of Crimea in historical regions. In addition, together we will prepare for the hour of the subject of the Russian Federation — the Republic of Crimea — in the Federation Council, we have something to tell, something to sharesaid the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.
