The Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, met with the participants and winners of the Unmanned Technologies Cup, held as part of the Unmanned Technologies educational workshop.
The project started in December 2024 and gave 192 Crimean schoolchildren the opportunity to master drone piloting skills. For six months, the guys trained on simulators and learned to control unmanned aircraft systems. As a result of the training, everyone will receive a UAV operator certificate.
48 students from eight schools in Simferopol and the Simferopol region took part in the republican drone racing competition for the Unmanned Technologies Cup. The winner was the team from the Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution “Secondary Educational School No. 28 named after. S.K. Bespalov.»
Addressing those present, Sergei Aksyonov emphasized the strategically important role of unmanned aerial systems for both Crimea and all of Russia.
Building personnel sovereignty in this area is one of the key tasks. Already today, the skills and knowledge of UAV operators are in demand not only in ensuring security, but also in scientific activities and everyday life, including in agriculture and medicine. Drones help monitor the state of the natural environment, which is especially important during fire or flood periods. The technology allows you to quickly, efficiently and, most importantly, safely determine the scale of incidents, assess the situation in real time and make operational decisions. The ability to fly drones has enormous potential. This direction has enormous prospects. Therefore, the educational project “Unmanned Technologies” is not just the popularization of modern technologies among young people. This is an effective tool for early career guidance, combining education, sports and patriotic education. We will develop it further and attract more participants. I think most Crimean schools, colleges and technical schools will want to joinsaid the Head of the Republic.
For their professionalism and contribution to the implementation of projects for the development of unmanned aviation in the republic, Sergei Aksyonov expressed gratitude to teachers, social activists and philanthropists.
In addition, the participants and winners of the Unmanned Technologies Cup were awarded well-deserved awards: Gratitude from the Head of the Republic of Crimea, Distinctive insignia “Watch from the Head of the Republic of Crimea”, Letters of gratitude from the Head of the Republic of Crimea, certificates of the profession of a worker / employee position “Operator of unmanned aircraft systems”.
