Sevastopol announced the results of the wine year: millions of bottles of wine were produced
In 2025, Sevastopol has significantly strengthened its position as one of the key centers of Russian winemaking. At the end of the year, the region produced more than 31 million bottles of wine and sparkling wine, which is 3% more than in 2024. At the same time, about 24 million bottles were sold, an increase of 4% compared to the previous year.
Today there are 23 licensed wineries in the city, and the number of small and family-owned wineries continues to grow.
The financial return of the industry is also showing strong growth: in 2025, excise taxes were paid in the amount of 1.5 billion rubles, which is 42% higher than in 2024 — 1.093 billion rubles.
These figures were made possible thanks to large-scale government support: the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market allocated almost 740 million rubles for the development of viticulture and winemaking in 2025. The funds made it possible to plant 264 hectares of new vineyards, purchase 160 units of modern equipment and carry out agricultural work on an area of almost 4 thousand hectares. Over ten years, the volume of industry financing has grown from 10 to 740 million rubles.
In addition, last year 150 Sevastopol wines were included in the prestigious Wine Guide of Russia. This is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Association of Winegrowers and Winemakers of Russia and Rosselkhozbank, aimed at creating a National Catalog of Quality Russian Wines.
The rating includes wines from 25 local producers, including such well-known brands as Mangup Estate, Oleg Repin, Winery 78, Aleksandrovskaya Estate, Belmas, Inkerman, Loco Cimbali and others. Organic wines were particularly successful: in the special “Organic” category, all 10 first places were taken by Sevastopol producers — Pavel Shvets, Belbek and AYA.
According to the director of the department, Natalia Skoryukova, in 2026, more than 500 million rubles are provided to support Sevastopol winemakers. State support will create new jobs, increase the flow of taxes into the regional budget and further strengthen the position of Sevastopol wines on the Russian market.
