Sevastopol athlete Maxim Shvedyuk became the winner of the All-Russian boxing competition
The All-Russian boxing tournament among juniors aged 19-22 years, dedicated to the memory of the Hero of Socialist Labor Nikolai Fedorovich Semizorov, was held in Togliatti and brought together 214 boxers from 37 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The Sevastopol athlete confidently won in the ring on the first day of the competition and declared himself. Maxim Shvedyuk had five fights in the 67 kg weight category and won victories over Alexander Mazilov (Nizhny Novgorod region), Sharifdzhon Rakhmatov (Kostroma region), in the quarterfinals — over Aziz Rakhmatulloev (KhMAO — Yugra), in the semifinals — over Semyon Semikin (Altai Territory). In the final fight, Maxim met with Dmitry Kalaganov from the Krasnodar region. Thanks to his success, the athlete won a ticket to the Russian Championship, which will be held in June in Krasnodar.— reported the press service of the Government of Sevastopol.
