Sevastopol entrepreneurs visited the Republic of Abkhazia on a working visit

Last week, as part of a business mission, entrepreneurs from Sevastopol visited the Republic of Abkhazia in order to establish new business contacts and explore opportunities to enter the local market.

The key event of the trip were the meetings of the delegation with the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Abkhazia Zalina Kobesova, as well as with the representative of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation in Abkhazia Vasily Dobry. During the meetings, participants were provided with up-to-date information about the rules of doing business in the republic, prospects for Sevastopol entrepreneurs and the peculiarities of interaction with Abkhaz companies.

As part of the business program, the delegation visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia, where a round table was held with the participation of 15 local companies. Among the participants are the Chaika Sukhumi hotel, the Chaplin Space restaurant and other business representatives. During the negotiations, the parties discussed possible formats of cooperation, exchanged commercial proposals and contacts, which laid the foundation for further partnership projects.

One of the highlights of the business mission was a visit to the young winery “Labra” and the oldest enterprise “Wines and Waters of Abkhazia”. Participants got acquainted with production processes, which allowed them to better understand the specifics of the local market. In addition, during the negotiations, options for cooperation were discussed to present a line of cheeses and cheese truffles in the retail outlets of these enterprises, which opens up new opportunities for Sevastopol producers— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the Sevastopol Export Support Center Natalya Bartoshuk.
