Sevastopol hosted the International Hackathon «Pro Design»: 200 participants, 4 states, 33 cities

From to 27 November, Sevastopol hosted the International Hackathon «Pro Design». The venue was the center for digital education of children “IT-cube. Gagarin.

The event was attended by 200 young designers aged 8 to 18 years from 24 regions of Russia, as well as from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The hackathon was held in a face-to-face format. For 3 days, participants from Sevastopol worked at the IT-cube. Gagarin. Children from other regions connected to online lectures, consultations and completed tasks remotely.

In total, representatives of 22 cities participated in the hackathon. Among them are Yaroslavl, St. Petersburg, Tolyatti, Orenburg, Novosibirsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Yekaterinburg, Khabarovsk, Severodvinsk, Lugansk, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Tyumen, Saratov, Temirtau, Fergana, etc.

Participants worked on assignments from real customers in 8 areas:

  • Graphic design. The guys came up with and created branded gifts for employees of the Payberry company
  • 361065UX/UI. Participants created the design of the registration form in the mobile application of the Sevstar company

    361065Advertisement. Young designers figured out how to sell a product unknown to the consumer from the company «I want sushi» with the help of advertising

    3610653D. The participants worked on a 3D model of the IT Crimea technopark

  • 3D-Kids. The guys created a 3D mascot (talisman) that reflects the values ​​of the MICAST project
  • Packaging design. The designers developed a gift envelope for the Crimean Rose cosmetics company
  • Decoration. Participants created the design of the VK page and banners for the site of the company «DENMAX»
  • 361065Reading Coast. Young illustrators suggested design options for book covers for a series of books «Crimean Pages» from the publishing house «Albatross».

    361063 In addition, the guys listened to lectures from leading speakers in the field of design and not only. Lecture topics ranged from self-producing and appropriate dress code to building a personal brand and understanding contemporary art.

    And the guys got to know each other, danced, drew, collected prize combinations in the lottery machine and even learned the basics of the Chinese language.

    The final day of the hackathon was held at the Russian Art Gallery in the format of a social event. Also, the works of the participants of the competition-exhibition «Your View» were presented at the site.

    In the gallery, the guys visited the exposition “Calibration. The Art of the Future… of the Museum” and took part in a discussion club where they talked about contemporary art.

    The main event of the day was the announcement of the winners and the award ceremony. The winners of the International Hackathon «Pro Design» received diplomas, souvenirs from the organizers and gifts from the partners of the event.
