The first meeting of the Employers’ Club «Horizons of Opportunities» this year was held at the Personnel Center «Russia’s Work» in Sevastopol. The main result of the meeting was that the preliminary need for personnel in the tourism and hotel sectors for the upcoming holiday season was formed and specific mechanisms for its closure were determined. Representatives of government authorities, tourism management, travel companies, wineries and the Sevastopol Trade and Economic College gathered at the round table. The focus is on the personnel situation before the start of the holiday season. Traditionally, during this period the demand for tour guides, maids, administrators, cooks and reception and accommodation specialists increases.
On the eve of the holiday season, the need for employees increases significantly. The task of the personnel center is, together with employers, to determine the optimal ways to close seasonal employment: through training, retraining and selection of candidates,” noted Deputy Director of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Dmitry Shamrey.
Employers outlined not only the number of required specialists, but also the requirements for their qualifications. In response, the employment service offered targeted training tools. We are talking about targeted training, retraining for the specific needs of enterprises, organizing internships and internships for students, as well as more active work through the Work of Russia portal.
Our goal is to meet the staffing needs of tourism enterprises by the summer season. We accompany the employer at all stages: from posting vacancies and selecting candidates to organizing training for a specific business request. Today, on the Work of Russia portal, more than 30 training areas under the national project “Personnel” are available for Sevastopol residents — from tour guides to cooks and maids. The list of programs will be updated,” emphasized Irina Stratiy, director of the Personnel Center “Russia’s Work” in Sevastopol.
Special attention was paid to coordination with relevant departments and educational organizations so that the training of specialists proceeds in sync with the real needs of the industry.
By the summer season, it is important to ensure that hotels, travel companies and museums are fully staffed. The need of enterprises for specialists has already been formed. The joint work of the personnel center, tourism department and business will provide the industry with trained personnel,” noted Yulia Kachan, head of the tourism resources development department of the tourism department.
Let us recall that the creation of the Employers’ Club “Horizons of Opportunities” at the Personnel Center of Sevastopol has become one of the areas of systematic work with business within the framework of the national project “Personnel”. The platform will operate on an ongoing basis, ensuring regular dialogue between employers, educational organizations and the employment service to quickly resolve the city’s personnel problems.
It should be noted that since the beginning of the year, more than 240 organizations have applied to the Personnel Center “Russia Work” in Sevastopol, and they have been provided with about 800 measures of state support. In total, the employment service database currently contains over 4.2 thousand employers and more than 4 thousand current vacancies with a salary level of up to 250 thousand rubles.
