CrimeaPRESS reports:
Since 2025, the regional project “Large Family,” which is part of the national project “Family,” has been successfully implemented in Sevastopol.
Based on the results of nine months of 2025, the city of Sevastopol became the leader in the growth of the “Total Fertility Rate” indicator. This was announced on October 23 at a meeting of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for the implementation of state demographic and family policy.
The key goal of the regional project is to ensure sustainable growth in the birth rate, support young and large families, and increase their level of well-being.
As part of the project, large families receive regional social support measures. To date, 412 people have benefited from state social assistance on the basis of a social contract. In 2025, special attention is paid to large families, families with children, SVO participants and members of their families. Since the beginning of the year, 2,294 families have been covered by support measures within the framework of regional programs to increase the birth rate.
Also, a children’s dairy kitchen has been operating in the city since 2020. Since the beginning of 2025 alone, 2,665 applicants have used it. Children aged six months to one year, children under three years of age from large and low-income families, as well as disabled children under three years of age can receive this measure of support.
More than 2,700 children received the commemorative medal “Born in the Hero City of Sevastopol” for 2025.
National projects of Russia are large-scale government programs aimed at developing key areas of society. These are long-term initiatives implemented on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
