Sevastopol: issues of providing international legal assistance were discussed at a seminar with the participation of lawyers and notaries

The seminar was attended by the President of the Notary Chamber of the City of Sevastopol, Olga Kalenkovich, and the President of the Bar Association of the City of Sevastopol, Yulia Marchuk.

During the lesson, employees of the department for the legal profession, notary office, state registration of acts of civil status focused on the content of generalizations of practice and methodological recommendations prepared by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation and the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Justice of Russia for the Rostov Region, gave examples of the effective use of open official Internet information resources in the field of international private law, and pointed out the shortcomings identified in orders and requests for legal assistance sent for execution to the competent authorities of foreign states.

Representatives of the professional legal community, in turn, spoke about the main problematic issues that notaries and lawyers face in practice when providing legal assistance to citizens in the event of the need to obtain reliable information or enforce decisions of Russian courts on the territory of foreign states.
