Sevastopol: more than 10 thousand tulips will be planted on St. Nicholas Square

Parks and Squares specialists have been working on St. Nicholas Square for the second day. 10,400 tulip bulbs are planted in a ring flower bed.

While the weather is good, we are trying to plant tulips as quickly as possible, we will finish today. To make it comfortable for the plants to overwinter, we weeded in advance, dug up the planting sites and fertilized them. In spring the flowerbed will bloom with white, red and yellow flowers— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the foreman of the “Parks and public gardens” section Alla Malikova.

In addition to the square, today specialists are planting bulbous spring flowers in the park along 1st and 2nd Bastion streets and on Primorsky Boulevard.

In total, more than 70 thousand spring flowers out of the planned 250 thousand were planted in the city.
