Sevastopol personnel center and colleges united for a career start for students
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A round table “Student youth — a career start!” was held at the Personnel Center “Russia Work” in Sevastopol. The meeting brought together representatives of colleges, technical schools, employment services, the department of labor and social protection of the population, the department of education and science to discuss how to help young people take their first steps into the profession and stay working in their hometown.
The round table was a continuation of the dialogue that began earlier with universities. The main goal is to build systematic cooperation between the Personnel Center, educational institutions and employers to train qualified specialists in demand in the labor market of Sevastopol.
During the discussion, the participants touched upon the topics of forecasting the city’s personnel needs, developing targeted training, creating a database of student resumes on the “Work in Russia” portal, as well as organizing practical training and internships. These measures will help students not only decide on a career direction, but also gain real-world experience while studying.
Today, blue-collar professions are especially in demand. Our task is to help students understand where they can apply their knowledge and what prospects their chosen specialty opens up. In 2025, as part of the personnel center’s “Graduate Day” project, more than 160 students underwent professional testing. We organized 34 internships, and every second graduate who contacted the employment service has already found a job in his profession, – emphasized the director of the Personnel Center of Sevastopol Svetlana Rendak.
Head of the Department of Professional Education and Science of the Department of Education and Science Anna Aksenova noted:
We regularly hold Open Days at colleges and technical schools and see how important it is to introduce students to employers at the admission stage. Joint job fairs with the Personnel Center will help future specialists see in advance where they are expected.
The result of the meeting was the formation of an action plan between the Personnel Center of Sevastopol and secondary vocational education organizations for career guidance and employment of young specialists.
The round table was held within the framework of the national project “Personnel”, aimed at developing human potential, improving the quality of training of specialists and supporting youth employment.
