In order to ensure public safety, the Sevastopol police remind citizens of the basic rules of behavior when discovering ownerless items (bags, backpacks, packages, boxes) in public places, transport or entrances.
It is strictly prohibited:
- touch, move or open an object.
- use mobile communications near it.
The order of your actions:
1. Immediately report the find by calling 102.
2. Interview others. If you are in a vehicle, inform the driver, or at the institution, inform the administration or security.
3. If possible, ensure that people are kept away from the danger area.
4. Wait for the police to arrive and tell them the circumstances of the discovery.
Signs indicating a possible danger of an item:
- presence of wires, antennas, electrical tape, batteries.
- noise (ticking, clicking).
- guy ropes made of wire or rope.
- unusual location or specific smell.
Be vigilant. Your correct actions will help prevent trouble.
