The police of Sevastopol note: in the course of monitoring the Internet by police officers in one of the social networks and the messenger, reports were revealed that supposedly malefactors who pretend to be law enforcement officers come to the residents of Sevastopol, hand over memos about behavior during martial law and, under this pretext, steal property from apartments.
The police of Sevastopol informs citizens that the information disseminated is not true. Citizens did not turn to the police with statements about such crimes. At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol recalls that for public dissemination under the guise of reliable reports of knowingly false information about circumstances that pose a threat to the life and safety of citizens, criminal liability is provided. In this regard, the police of Sevastopol urges Internet users and representatives of the media to be careful and vigilant, and also to use information exclusively from verified, official sources , the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol emphasizes.
