Sevastopol police warns: buy on the Internet — be vigilant! The sad stories of Sevastopol
Krympress reports:
Online purchases have long become a regular routine, but do not forget that when giving money to strangers, you can stay “at a broken trough”-without savings and without goods. Fraudsters often hunt «sales» on various websites, including on the pages of popular trading platforms and instant messengers. In one day alone, six Sevastopol residents led to this scheme of deception and gave the scammers almost 200 thousand rubles. Locals made completely different purchases. For example:
- A 64-year-old man wanted to buy red caviar in a popular messenger for nine thousand rubles, and a 47-year-old housewife found a good refrigerator on the Internet for only 44 thousand, but both buyers were left without goods and without money.
- Another 32-year-old administrator of the beauty salon ordered the necessary “consumables” to work, but in the end she lost more than 45 thousand rubles from personal savings, the 58-year-old manager “purchased” a honey carpet for 11 thousand rubles, and the 49-year-old entrepreneur decided to buy new tires and car discs for 51 thousand, but remained with bald tires and wallet.
- According to the same scheme, scammers deceived another Sevastopol, but he paid not for the goods, but for the service. The 44-year-old motorist stumbled upon the offer of love and affection for an hour on the Internet, having thought a little, decided to contact a beautiful girl from an ad. In the correspondence, we agreed on all the nuances, the man transferred more than 30 thousand rubles to the account indicated in the announcement, but did not receive the promised attention of the nymph.
If you or your loved ones have become a victim of swindlers, do not waste time — immediately call the police by phone 102.
