Sevastopol resident possessed marijuana on a large scale

The investigator of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol ended a preliminary investigation of the criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, excited against a local resident accused of storing prohibited substances of plant origin.
According to investigators, in the summer of this year, a 43-year-old man acquired 6 bundles with marijuana with a total mass of 213 grams from an unidentified face and later kept them in a garage for personal use.
The fact that Sevastopolets can be involved in the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs became known to employees of the Office for the Control of Drug Control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol. During the implementation of the information received, the information found its confirmation.
At first, the man tried to convince the police that he did not keep drugs or other prohibited objects. However, after he found out that a garage box would be examined using a service dog, he admitted to the police in the presence of illegal reserves of the Durs-grass that was hidden in the old couch.
During the investigative actions, police officers seized 6 curtains with marijuana, electronic scales, four mobile phones, two bank cards and 200 thousand rubles in cash.
Currently, the materials of the criminal case with the approved prosecutor’s office were sent to the court for consideration on the merits. The maximum sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of three to ten years.
