Sevastopol: travel from Gen. Ave. Ostryakova on the street. Khrustaleva will be closed for another year

The order to temporarily restrict traffic in the area of ​​the 5th km of the Balaklava highway has been extended until December 2026.

The road from General Ostryakov Avenue towards Khrustaleva Street has been blocked since March 2023 due to the reconstruction of the «Cucumber» interchange. Work to transform a single-level transport interchange into a two-level one is carried out in accordance with the state program for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Currently its readiness is about 48%,” the Department of Transport told Sevastopolskaya Gazeta.

Let us recall that at the beginning of 2025 this figure was 40%.

Construction of the 5-km interchange (another level) began in 2012. They passed (the movement was launched) only in 2016. And it was supposed to be converted into a two-level building by December 2022. The current completion date for this facility is 2027.
