Sevastopol Vodokanal crews are clearing storm drains of leaves throughout the city

During the autumn rains and leaf fall, Vodokanal storm sewer service teams intensified their work on cleaning storm water inlets. Specialists drive around the city every day, removing accumulated leaves from the gratings to ensure the smooth drainage of rainwater and prevent flooding.

The emphasis is on streets with heavy traffic and high tree densities. Among them are Senyavin, Volodarsky, Lenin and Pushkin streets, where preventive work has already been carried out. Employees promptly remove blockages, manually and using special equipment, removing fallen leaves, branches and other debris.

We remind you that in order for storm drainage to work effectively, not only the efforts of utility workers are important, but also the conscious attitude of residents — not to throw garbage into storm water inlets and not to litter the surrounding areas.
