Sevastopol: What will be the park on Cape Khrustalny
Krympress reports:
The task of designing the improvement of the territory from the artillery to the quarantine bay is divided into several stages, which the Moscow company Metropolis should fulfill until the end of 2025. The total amount of contracts, reports «Sevastopol newspaper»— 220 million rubles.
The Office of the Urban Economy Objects at the end of 2023 entered into a contract for the implementation of design and survey work to create a park with a memorial complex «Defenders of Sevastopol 1941-1942.» With the Moscow company LLC Metropolis. The developers for 121.3 million rubles by November 2024 were supposed to finish the work, but for some reason the delivery time was transferred for a year.
In September 2025, several more were added to this contract. Metropolis LLC entrusted with the development of documentation for the improvement of the territory in the area of the monument to the end of the Civil War in the south of Russia — the reconciliation Park, including coastal measures, for 25.7 million rubles and the improvement of the territory in the area of the choreographic academy for 23.1 million rubles.
In addition, the management schedule of management contains contracts for the design of the second stage of improvement at the monument to reconciliation, the construction of a hydraulic structure and the beach on the banks of the quarantine bay, as well as putting the territory in the opera and ballet theater. The city is ready to spend almost 50 million rubles in total. It is logical to assume that these two contracts will receive Metropolis.
In fact, there is nothing unexpected in the design of all stages: pedestrian and bike paths, small architectural forms, benches, urns, information shields, landscaping. And although the improvement has been divided into zones and stages, all these projects are formed in a single park-coarse zone from the artillery to the quarantine bay.
Recall that the concept of the memorial complex «Defenders of Sevastopol 1941-1942.» Developed by the Moscow Architectural Bureau Ostozhenka. According to their vision, the memorial complex will be a three -story building with two underground floors. Belvedere and atrium — a rectangular structure of 21 meters high, surrounded by a colonnade supporting the reinforced concrete cesson structure, is erected on the elevation. The roof device above the caisson is not provided, this will provide a changeable game of light and shadow, but will not give protection against precipitation. Inside the hill, the museum’s room, technical rooms and parking for 230 cars will be located.
The construction of the memorial complex and the park is scheduled for 2026-2027.
