Sevastopol youth are helped to choose a profession and find a job
A working meeting was held at the Personnel Center “Russia Work” in Sevastopol with representatives of the Department of Education and the Center for Advanced Professional Training. The participants discussed how to build a clear and realistic support system for schoolchildren, students and graduates — from choosing a profession to finding employment in their hometown.
They were talking about a project for career guidance and routing of youth, which combines the efforts of the employment service and educational organizations. His task is to help young people not to get lost after graduation, but to understand in advance where to study, what skills to develop and where to go to work.
Today, the employment service cooperates with more than 4,200 employers, and over 2,500 vacancies without work experience are available on the “Russia Work” portal.
We rely on the forecast of the region’s personnel needs and introduce children to in-demand professions. It is important that after graduation they have a clear understanding of where to go. Targeted training, among other things, helps with this — it makes it possible to acquire a profession for free and guarantees a first job,” noted Irina Stratiy, director of the Personnel Center “Russia’s Work” in Sevastopol.
We separately discussed support for students who find it more difficult to enter the labor market. The project introduces a risk-based approach: such participants are assisted by personal career consultants. They draw up individual plans and select specific support measures to help them achieve employment in their specialty.
Participants in the federal project are schoolchildren in grades 8–11, students and graduates of colleges and universities. Everyone will be able to receive support from our specialists — from career guidance and meeting employers to internships and first jobs.,” emphasized Irina Stratiy.
Following the meeting, the Personnel Center, the Department of Education and the Center for Advanced Training agreed on joint activities within the framework of the federal project of the Ministry of Labor of Russia and the career guidance project “Ticket to the Future”.
Let us remind you that in 2025, the Sevastopol employment service helped more than 3,200 people find jobs and organized 34 internships for students and graduates.
