She wanted an expensive smartphone, so she stole from the store where she worked. Incident in Saki
The desire to own the latest model of an expensive smartphone pushed a 20-year-old girl from the Saki region to commit a crime.
For several months, she embezzled money from the cash register of the building materials store where she worked as a salesperson. The total amount of the shortage amounted to an impressive 150 thousand rubles. The store owner discovered the loss during a scheduled inspection and filed a complaint with the police. The investigation that began quickly led investigators to the suspect’s trail. The collected evidence irrefutably pointed to the guilt of the young employee.
The girl admitted her guilt and said that all the stolen funds were spent on the desired smartphone. The phone was seized as evidence— the details of the incident were announced in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
A criminal case was opened against the suspect by the investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saksky» on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Misappropriation or embezzlement). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of up to two years in prison.
She was given a preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave.
