Simferopol: city services have been placed on high alert
The air temperature has reached negative temperatures in the Crimean capital. According to forecasters, wet snow is expected in the afternoon. In this regard, city services have been placed on high alert to quickly respond to possible changes in weather conditions.
On the basis of the Municipal Budgetary Institution “City”, personnel and specialized equipment are on duty. 12 combined road machines are ready to work in case of snowfall and ice formation. If necessary, the fleet of equipment will be further strengthened, including by tractors and other mechanization.
Particular attention is planned to be paid to pedestrian zones and public areas. To ensure the safety of pedestrians, about 450 street cleaners will be involved in the work. All employees are provided with the necessary equipment and means for cleaning sidewalks, — emphasized Roman Gusynin, director of the City Municipal Budgetary Institution.
Also, according to Roman Gusynin, the warehouses of the Municipal Budgetary Institution “Gorod” have accumulated the necessary stock of de-icing materials and reagents, which will allow timely treatment of the road network and prevent the formation of ice.
The city administration urges residents and guests of Simferopol to take precautions, be careful on the roads and sidewalks, and also avoid sudden maneuvers when driving.
