Simferopol resident accused of killing mother

The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol completed the investigation of the criminal case against a 49-year-old resident of the village of Urozhainoye. He is accused of committing murder (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The investigative department for the Simferopol region established that in the evening of September 23 of this year, in a private house in the village of Urozhainoye, an intoxicated man was sorting things out with his 67-year-old mother. During the quarrel, he struck the elderly woman several times in the head area, after which he squeezed her neck with his hands, as a result of which the pensioner died on the spot.

At the request of the investigator, the accused was taken into custody by the court, where he is being held to this day.

All necessary investigative actions have been completed. The investigation of the criminal case has been completed and it has been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
