Simferopol resident sold life-threatening alcohol
The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol completed the investigation of a criminal case against a resident of Simferopol, accused of storing for the purpose of marketing and selling products that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers (Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The investigative department for the city of Zheleznodorozhny district of the city of Simferopol established that a 58-year-old local resident purchased alcohol-containing products outside the peninsula for the purpose of further sale and profit. The accused stored alcoholic beverages that did not meet safety requirements in a warehouse on Yevpatoriiskoe Highway Street in Simferopol.
The criminal activity of the defendant was stopped on May 28, 2025 in cooperation with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
During a search at the sales facility, alcohol-containing products in the amount of about 9,000 bottles with a total volume of over 6.5 thousand liters were discovered and seized.
During the investigation of the criminal case, examinations were carried out, all necessary investigative actions were completed, and a sufficient evidence base was collected.
The investigation of the criminal case has been completed, the materials have been sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
