Since the beginning of 2023, more than 300 fires of dry vegetation have been eliminated in Crimea

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea draws the attention of citizens to the strict observance of fire safety rules during the summer fire hazard period.
According to the Crimean Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, on May 26, extreme fire danger will remain in the western regions of Crimea. In this case, the risk of fires in open areas increases. The main causes of fires are: making fires, intentionally burning dead wood and household waste— noted in the press service of the department.
To prevent the occurrence of fires, employees of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Fire Guard of the Republic of Crimea» continue to carry out preventive work with the population, aimed at preventing the burning of dry vegetation and preventing natural fires. Weekly, within the framework of prevention, on weekends, employees of all fire departments of the GKU RK «Fire Guard of the Republic of Crimea» carry out «household» rounds in their area of responsibility. Citizens pay special attention to information about administrative penalties for unauthorized burning of dead wood.
The Code of the Russian Federation establishes sanctions for violation of the rules of the fire regime. Thus, part 1 of article 8.32 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for violation of fire safety rules in forests provides for the following sanctions — a warning or the imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in the amount of fifteen thousand to thirty thousand rubles; for officials — from thirty thousand to fifty thousand rubles; for legal entities — from one hundred thousand to four hundred thousand rubles.
Also, for burning brushwood, forest litter, dry grass and other forest combustible materials in violation of the requirements of fire safety rules on land directly adjacent to forests, protective and forest plantations and not separated by a fire-resistant mineralized strip of at least 0.5 meters wide, the following are provided: sanctions — the imposition of an administrative fine on citizens in the amount of thirty thousand to forty thousand rubles; for officials — from forty thousand to sixty thousand rubles; for legal entities — from three hundred thousand to five hundred thousand rubles.
With the establishment of the summer fire season on the territory of the peninsula, more than 50 units of equipment and 100 personnel of the institution are in readiness for response in the GKU RK «Fire Guard of the Republic of Crimea».
