Since the beginning of the year, more than 150 Sevastopol families have taken advantage of the free rental of children’s goods

In 2025, as part of the national project “Family,” the first rental points for essential items for children under two years old appeared in Sevastopol.

To receive basic necessities, one of the parents submits a written application and consent to the processing of personal data to the Center for Social Assistance to Family and Children, and also presents the necessary documents. You can rent: a stroller, a crib, a high chair, an electric cradle, educational toys and much more. We enter into a six-month agreement with parents on the temporary use of things that they choose and that they need. If after six months the family still needs the item, we, of course, extend the contract. It’s very simple. Since the beginning of the year, 150 families have already taken advantage of this opportunity, — said the head of the Family MFC Irina Kashperuk.

This is not the first time that the large Ivanov family – spouses Karina and Anton – have used this service. The couple has four children: the eldest daughter Varvara, son Lev, twins Nikolai and Andrey. Karina learned about the rental of essential goods at the antenatal clinic. I wrote an application and received: a stroller, a chaise longue, a video baby monitor, two infant carriers, a chest of drawers for children’s things and an educational mat.

When I applied for the service, I thought it wouldn’t work, we wouldn’t meet some criteria. As a result, I wrote an application and was immediately approved. This has made our days with the little ones so much easier. For example, a chaise longue: while I’m cooking in the kitchen, I put my sons in it and at the same time I talk to them and entertain them. Or infant carriers — this is a lifesaver for us: put the kids in, fasten them in and you drive calmly, because it’s safesaid Karina.
