Since the beginning of the year, the Sevastopol “social taxi” has made about 10 thousand trips. Who can count on the service

In Sevastopol, a special measure of social support continues to be implemented — the Social Taxi project. Since the beginning of the year, 9974 trips have already been made. “Social taxi” allows citizens who have difficulty traveling on public transport to use specially equipped cars.

The service is provided to the following categories of citizens:

disabled people of group I;
disabled people of groups II–III who have limited mobility;
visually impaired people of group II;
disabled children;
war invalids;
parents and other legal representatives of disabled children under 18 years of age when accompanied by them (no more than two people at a time);
persons accompanying disabled people during their transportation (no more than two people at a time);
persons over 80 years of age with disability group III.

This support measure for people with disabilities was introduced in 2016 and is provided by the State Unitary Enterprise of Sevastopol “Sevelektroavtotrans im. A. S. Krupoderova» around the clock. Citizens can get to pharmacies, hospitals, banks, sports and recreational institutions, pension authorities, and much more. The cars are equipped with special lifts that simplify the movement of people in wheelchairs,” said Irina Zaloznova, head of the department for organizing the provision of state social support measures.

Terms of service: up to six free trips per month. A special category of passengers — patients undergoing hemodialysis and chemotherapy — can use the service without restrictions.

When applying for the service for the first time, you must submit a certain list of documents. It is posted on website Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Sevastopol.

About 60 people use the service every day. The car must be ordered in advance — from three hours to seven days before the planned trip. To reserve a car, you can contact the dispatcher by phone: +7 (978) 300-95-66 or +7 (8692) 53-02-90. Applications are accepted Monday–Thursday from 8:30 to 17:00, on Friday from 8:30 to 16:00, without a break.
