Soils are being prepared for future forest plantations in Mekenzievskoe forestry

Employees of the Directorate of Protected and Forestry perform work on the care and restoration of the green fund of Sevastopol. Currently, the main efforts are aimed at the Mekenzievsky district forestry, where the preparation of the soil is underway for the subsequent planting of trees.

As the head of the production department of the institution Tatyana Krevtenko noted, this stage is key to successful forest recovery:

To ensure the maximum survival rate of young seedlings, the soil must be prepared a year before planting. Now we use special equipment that processes the Earth to a depth of 60 centimeters. This creates optimal conditions for the development of the root system of planting material.

The implementation of these works will allow you to proceed with new trees to land next year. Thanks to the systemic and painstaking work of specialists, the forests of Sevastopol become thicker and greener.
