The prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Crimea is conducting an inspection on the fact of emergency braking of the elevator in an apartment building number 8 on the street. Sizas in Simferopol. The incident happened this morning, at the entrance of a multi-storey building. The elevator moving down stopped at the second floor. It contained four minors and one adult.

The supervisory authority checks compliance with the requirements of housing legislation regarding the operation and maintenance of elevator equipment, as well as the overhaul of apartment buildings. In addition, the prosecutor’s office will evaluate the actions of the management company and the organization servicing the elevator equipment. If there are grounds, based on the results of the audit, the issue of applying prosecutorial response measures will be resolved.the prosecutor’s office said.

Fortunately, there were no injuries. Nothing threatens the life and health of children (and adults too). For its part, the investigation is also carried out by the Sledkom.

In order to establish all the circumstances of the incident, as well as to prevent such facts, the head of the Main Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, employees of the investigative department for the Central District of the city of Simferopol were instructed to check the activities of organizations taken for the maintenance and maintenance of elevator equipment, its technical condition and timing exploitation— noted in the Investigative Committee.

Based on the results of the audit, a legally reasoned procedural decision will be made.
