Statement: the retirement age in Russia will not be raised
Nobody is raising it, the retirement age is not going to be raised. It’s a conversation, if you will, more about the benefits of continuing to work. But they took it, paraphrased it, took something out of context, and then explain yourself— quotes the Chairman of the State Duma RIA Novosti.
Volodin noted that a number of media outlets took out of context and paraphrased statements by State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarab that the size of the pension can be increased if it is reached 10 years later.
It was previously reported that the indexation size insurance pensions in 2026 will increase if the inflation rate for 2025 is above 7.6%. In turn, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin said that minimum wage in Russia from January 1, 2026 will grow by more than 20 percent. The minimum wage will be 27 thousand 93 rubles.
Throughout Russia, from October 1, certain categories of public sector employees will begin to receive wages 7.6% more. The corresponding decree was signed in August.
